Job summary

Orlando Informer is seeking a Software Engineer to build thoughtful, reliable technology powering guest experiences at scale. You’ll own pieces of the product from day one, including the React Native mobile app, Node services, and data layer tying ticketing, events, and guest systems together.

This remote-first role requires residency in Florida or Texas, with a small, collaborative team that values ownership and high-quality features.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript across client and server.
• Ability to use AI tools to improve speed without sacrificing quality.
• Experience with React Native (Expo) and app store builds.
• Backend services in Node with NestJS or Express and MySQL.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship features in the React Native app from concept to store release.
• Design, build, and maintain Node/NestJS APIs powering mobile and web.
• Write and optimize SQL against MySQL databases and shape schemas.
• Integrate with Stripe, Shopify, and partner ticketing systems.
• Debug production issues and improve reliability across the stack.
• Collaborate with a lean team to decide what to build next.
