Job summary

Orlando Informer is seeking a Software Engineer to build thoughtful, reliable technology powering guest experiences for theme-park hospitality. You'll own meaningful pieces of the product from day one: our React Native mobile app, the Node services behind it, and the data layer tying our ticketing, events, and guest systems together. A passion for parks and travel helps too.

This is a remote-first role with residency in the US. We value pragmatism, ownership, and high-quality delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript across client and server.
• Experience with React Native (Expo a plus) and mobile app releases.
• Backend services in Node, preferably NestJS or Express.
• Solid SQL skills with MySQL databases.
• Ability to integrate with Stripe, Shopify, and other APIs.
• Experience with cloud hosting, CI/CD, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Build features in React Native app from concept through App/Play Store release.
• Design, build, and maintain Node/NestJS APIs powering mobile and web experiences.
• Write and optimize SQL against MySQL; help shape database schemas.
• Integrate with third-party platforms like Stripe and Shopify.
• Debug production issues and improve reliability across the stack.
• Collaborate with a lean team to decide what gets built next.
