This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Mobile (React Native) based in the United States. The Senior Software Engineer will design, build, and evolve high-quality mobile applications serving users across iOS and Android. You’ll play a key role in shaping mobile architecture while delivering scalable, accessible, and reliable experiences. The position offers end-to-end ownership, from technical design and implementation through release, monitoring, and continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with Product, Design, QA, and backend engineering teams in a collaborative, distributed environment. Your expertise will help improve application performance, reliability, testing, developer tooling, and release processes. The role also provides opportunities to influence technical direction, reduce technical debt, and introduce AI-assisted development practices. Success will require strong React Native expertise, sound engineering judgment, and a proactive approach to solving complex mobile challenges.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 3 years building and supporting production React Native applications.
• Strong proficiency in React Native, React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript across both iOS and Android platforms.
• Deep understanding of mobile application architecture, navigation, state management, component design, data persistence, and platform-specific behaviors.
• Experience integrating REST or GraphQL APIs, authentication systems, analytics services, and third-party integrations.
• Hands‑on experience with automated testing, mobile application builds and signing, and Apple App Store and Google Play release processes.
• Strong engineering fundamentals with the ability to produce clean, secure, testable, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Experience with CI/CD, mobile release workflows, observability, crash reporting, or related engineering practices is advantageous.
• Strong ownership and accountability, with the ability to take features from conception through production with limited oversight.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within distributed, cross-functional engineering teams.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities and a practical approach to resolving complex technical challenges.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools or incorporating AI into products or engineering workflows.
• Experience with high‑traffic consumer applications is a plus.
• Familiarity with payments, digital wallets, native hardware, push notifications, deep linking, offline workflows, accessibility, or internationalization is desirable.
• Experience with ticketing, concessions, point‑of‑sale, inventory, ordering, loyalty, cinema, entertainment, or hospitality platforms is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Node.js, Ruby on Rails, relational databases, Redis, or AWS is a plus.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within the United States several times per year and, in rare circumstances, internationally.
