Job summary

LifeStance Health Inc. is seeking a Billing Supervisor to lead the RCM staff and drive performance across daily operations.

The role supervises training, monitoring, and performance management while maintaining a collaborative environment that boosts morale and growth, with a remote-working setup. Candidate must have 4+ years in medical billing/RCM and strong knowledge of UB-04, EOB, CPT, ICD-9, and HIPAA compliance, plus MS Office and Excel proficiency.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 4+ years of experience in medical billing/RCM; supervisory experience or demonstrated leadership.
• Advanced knowledge of UB-04, EOB interpretation, A/R, CPT, and ICD-9 codes.
• Proficient in Revenue Cycle Management operations with focus on Outpatient Mental Health payors and Commercial payors (Medicare/HIPAA).
• Proficient in MS Office; intermediate to advanced Excel and Word skills.
• Clear, effective, and accurate verbal and written communication skills.
• Organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple initiatives.
• Handling of PHI and Patient Identifiable Data with discretion and confidentiality.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Demonstrates awareness, inclusivity, sensitivity, humility, and experience with diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead the RCM staff and monitor performance metrics.
• Complete monthly quality evaluations and manage scheduling and attendance.
• Maintain workload balance, efficiency, and cost reduction within RCM.
• Identify issues, develop corrective plans, and escalate when needed.
• Train, develop, motivate, and support team members in skill growth.
• Foster a productive environment that motivates morale, engagement, and growth.
• Manage requests, emails, calls, escalations, and account research with timely responses.
• Attend meetings and document agendas and notes as required.
