Job summary

Anchor Utility is seeking a Rates Analyst to ensure accurate initial billing for new properties and to audit tariffs for savings and revenue opportunities. You will monitor rate changes across territories and serve as the rates expert for Billing Ops, Client Success, and clients.

This remote, nationwide role requires 2+ years in utility rates or similar analytic work and strong Excel and communication skills to convey technical rate issues to non-technical teammates.

Qualifications

• Proven experience analyzing utility tariffs and rate structures.
• Ability to interpret complex rate schedules and tariffs.
• Strong Excel skills: lookups, pivot tables, formulas.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Configure and validate rate setups for new properties and audit RUBS bills.
• Perform tariff and rate audits within 60 days of first billing; document findings.
• Monitor rate changes across service territories and implement changes by effective date.
• Translate rate changes into clear briefings for teams and clients.
• Resolve escalated rate questions and support client reviews as rates SME.
• Lead rate-management projects and refine internal procedures.
