Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, ensuring patient safety and adherence to ALARA principles. The role includes supervising and mentoring students, coordinating imaging orders, and collaborating with licensed practitioners across various clinical settings.

The position offers a $30,000 sign-on bonus for eligible applicants and a $6 hourly premium on top of base pay. New graduates must obtain ARRT-R within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Radiologic Technology program; ARRT-R registry within 6 months of hire.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum 1 year related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures correct order is obtained, patient is properly identified and prepared for exam, and that clinical history is corroborated and appropriately documented while respecting confidentiality.
• Utilizes imaging protocols to optimize technical factors while maximizing patient safety and ALARA.
• Preparing and/or administering medications through vascular access as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Evaluates images for proper positioning and quality; verifies data transfer and archival storage.
• Educating and monitoring students and other health care providers.
• Assisting licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized radiologic procedures.
• Performing diagnostic radiographic and noninterpretive fluoroscopic procedures as prescribed.
