Responsibilities

• Ensures correct order, identifies patient, prepares exam and documents history while maintaining confidentiality.
• Uses imaging protocol and ALARA principles to maximize patient safety and care.
• Administers medications via vascular access as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Evaluates images for positioning and quality; ensures archives and data transfer as needed.
• Educates and monitors students and other health care providers.
• Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and radiologic procedures.
• Performs diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures in OR, ICU, Endoscopy, and other areas.
