Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, ensuring patient safety and ALARA principles while maintaining documentation and compliance with applicable laws.

New graduates must obtain ARRT-R within 6 months of hire. The role involves collaboration with licensed practitioners, educating students, and assisting in operating rooms, ICUs, endoscopy, and other settings as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (Required)
• ARRT-R registry within 6 months of hire (required)
• Bachelor’s degree related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct patient identification and exam preparation
• Apply imaging protocols and ALARA to maximize patient safety
• Administer medications via vascular access as prescribed
• Evaluate image quality and verify data transfer/archiving
• Educate and monitor students and other health care providers
• Assist licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures
• Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures as prescribed (including OR, ICU)
