Job summary

Geisinger in the United States seeks Radiologic Technologists to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, ensure patient safety, and document activities in accordance with federal and state laws and institutional policy.

New graduates must obtain ARRT-R within 6 months of hire, and progression to level 2 within 24 months; Bachelor's degree preferred; comprehensive benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology (Required).
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures correct order, identifies patient, and documents history with confidentiality.
• Applies imaging protocols and ALARA principles to maximize safety and care.
• Prepares or administers medications via vascular access as prescribed.
• Evaluates images for positioning and quality; verifies data transfer and post-processing.
• Educates and monitors students and other health care providers.
• Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures.
• Performs radiographic and noninterpretive fluoroscopic procedures outside Radiology as prescribed.
