Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Experience in a medical or healthcare setting is required.
• Strong customer-service, communication, organization, and computer skills are required.
• Experience with medical scheduling, patient coordination, registration, or call-center workflows preferred.
• Experience scheduling radiology or diagnostic imaging services strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records, insurance verification, and medical terminology preferred.
• Ability to work independently and multitask.
• Ability to document accurately and concisely.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of computer applications and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume inbound call queue.
• Make outbound calls to schedule patients and follow up on outstanding orders.
• Schedule imaging appointments accurately based on physician orders, diagnoses, and exam requirements.
• Verify patient demographics, insurance information, referring-provider information, and order accuracy.
• Communicate with patients, referring offices, clinical staff, registration, and authorization teams.
• Meet established call-volume, productivity, attendance, and quality expectations.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and provide a professional, compassionate experience.
• Assist with additional scheduling and business-office responsibilities as needed.
• Complete required in-person training before primarily working remotely.
• Report to the Culpeper center for training, meetings, team activities, workflow needs, or when requested by leadership.
