UVA Health seeks a Coding Specialist 2 to review, analyze, and code radiology services using CPT and ICD-10. This fully remote role supports revenue cycle performance and compliance within a nationally recognized academic health system.

Candidates should have 2+ years of radiology coding experience, CPC certification, and strong knowledge of clinical documentation interpretation. Work independently with attention to detail while collaborating with colleagues to ensure accurate coding.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of radiology coding experience required.
• Radiology coding experience preferred.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) is required.
• Strong knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 and clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Review and assign CPT, ICD-10 codes and modifiers for radiology services.
• Analyze documentation to ensure compliant coding and reimbursement.
• Apply NCCI edits and payer-specific requirements.
• Identify and resolve coding discrepancies and documentation gaps.
• Collaborate with providers and colleagues to improve accuracy.
• Maintain high precision while meeting productivity expectations.
• Support coding quality initiatives to enhance revenue cycle outcomes.
• Evaluate complex coding scenarios and assign appropriate codes.
