Job summary

UVA Health is seeking a Coding Specialist 2 for Radiology coding in a fully remote role. You will review CPT and ICD-10 coding, analyze documentation, and ensure compliant coding to support revenue cycle performance.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in radiology coding, CPC certification, and strong knowledge of coding guidelines. Work independently with high attention to detail within our academic health system.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant coding experience required.
• Radiology coding experience preferred.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Review CPT, ICD-10, and modifier coding for radiology procedures.
• Analyze clinical documentation to support compliant coding and reimbursement.
• Apply knowledge of NCCI edits, payer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Identify and resolve coding discrepancies and documentation issues.
• Collaborate with providers and teams to improve coding accuracy.
• Maintain precision while meeting productivity in a fast-paced environment.
• Support coding quality initiatives to improve revenue cycle outcomes.
• Utilize analytical skills to evaluate complex coding scenarios.
