Job summary

RTX seeks an Electronics Engineer to manage radar health and mission execution on an ocean-going vessel. The role requires readiness for extended watch rotations and strict security controls. You will analyze data from tests and live operations, supporting software delivery and system integration.

The ideal candidate has a STEM degree and hands-on UNIX, MATLAB/Simulink experience, plus a willingness to work in a demanding maritime environment with 24/7 readiness.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in STEM field with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with radar theory, hardware, and test equipment.
• Experience running engineering tests to troubleshoot radar system anomalies.
• Hands-on UNIX experience (Solaris/HP-UX and RHEL).
• MATLAB or Simulink for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Reduce and analyze data from digital and analog simulations and tests.
• Support installation, test, and evaluation of SDPE software in GBMD systems.
• Support XBR Department Head; willing to cover 24/7 operations and related tasks.
• Develop tools to verify regression tests and document results per procedures.
• Maintain active Secret clearance and pass required mariner physical.
