ABB Inc. seeks a Quality Engineer to serve as a technical design authority and customer-facing leader for ABB Critical Power projects. You will drive issue resolution and coordinate with engineering, service, factory, and product management to ensure successful delivery.

The role demands strong communication and a deep background in electrical distribution or power systems, with up to 40% travel for customer visits and project support. Remote work is supported for a dispersed US team.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 7+ years' experience in electrical distribution or power systems or Master's with 5+ years' experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently with minimal supervision
• Experience establishing partnerships with Product management, engineering, and service teams
• Candidates must already have work authorization to work for ABB in the US

Responsabilidades

• Serve as ABB's primary customer contact for quality and technical issues, leading communications, onsite support, action plans, and resolution timelines
• Act as the technical and design authority for engineering deliverables on moderate- to high-complexity projects
• Review and approve designs, perform verification and peer reviews, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, contractual, and as-built documentation requirements
• Identify and resolve technical challenges while communicating product gaps, customer needs, and market trends to commercial and product management teams
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, testing, commissioning, service, supply chain, sales, and product management to ensure successful project execution
• Manage multiple concurrent projects, including work plans, cost estimates, RFQs, supplier evaluations, project meetings, contract variations, and timely delivery of engineering outputs
