Job summary

Global Soft Systems is seeking a Quality Engineer to join a fast-paced agile team. The role focuses on manual and automated testing using Cypress to ensure web app quality and reliability.

You will design test plans, automate end-to-end tests, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines while collaborating with developers, product managers, and QA peers. Remote with preference for Dallas, TX-based candidates.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software testing experience with manual and automation.
• Strong hands-on Cypress for end-to-end testing.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript for writing Cypress tests.
• Experience with UI, API, and integration testing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated Cypress scripts.
• Perform manual testing for new features, regression, and exploratory testing.
• Create and manage test plans, test cases, and test data.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Identify, document, and track bugs using Jira or similar.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure test coverage.
• Analyze test results and provide actionable feedback.
• Maintain and enhance the automation framework.
• Participate in sprint planning and daily stand-ups in agile process.
