Job summary

OmniOn Power Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to audit engineering specifications and packages, ensuring accuracy and compliance with customer standards. The role includes maintaining CoQ tracking, supporting TL 9000 metrics, and performing internal surveillance audits.

This position reports to the Services Quality Leader and is 100% remote. Ideal candidates have ~5 years in telecom quality roles, proficiency with Excel and SharePoint, and experience with ERP/MRP or PLM/PDM

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ~5 years of telecom industry experience including DC power installation/engineering, toll/fiber installation, and project management.
• Understanding of quality management systems and audit practices.
• Proficiency with Excel and SharePoint for tracker maintenance and CoQ calculations.
• Strong written and verbal communication to document audit evidence and findings.
• Experience with ERP/MRP, PLM/PDM, or document control systems used for engineering releases.
• Understanding of CoPQ categories and basic cost accounting concepts.
• Prior participation in internal surveillance audits or customer audits in manufacturing, repair, or service environments.
• Certification or training in internal auditing; we will not sponsor visas.

Responsibilities

• Audit engineering specifications for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to customer standards; document findings and drive timely correction/closure.
• Audit engineering packages (drawings, BOMs, build documentation, ECNs/changes, deviations, and supporting records) for compliance.
• Audit Methods of Procedure and End of Job packages to ensure safe installation and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure version control and alignment between customer requirements, released docs, and service deliverables.
• Track cost of poor-quality (CoPQ) metrics and communicate to quotations, engineering and execution teams to reduce CoPQ.
• Initiate corrective actions and partner with Engineering, Quality, Program Management, and Operations to implement fixes.
• Support TL 9000 metric collection, validation, and reporting for applicable service categories; aid internal surveillance audits.
• Communicate recurring issues and recommend process improvements.
• Maintain audit records, trackers, and evidence per document retention and client requirements.
