Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Quality Assurance Tester/Test Engineer (Manual and Automation) to support Department of War applications modernization and cloud migration, performing comprehensive testing across Agile cycles, DevSecOps pipelines, and security compliance processes.

This position is 100% remote, enabling collaboration across distributed teams while ensuring test coverage from unit to release, including data migration validation and performance testing for secure, compliant DoW solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of testing experience with a BS/BA, or 3 years with an MS/MA.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain public trust clearance.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks such as Selenium and JUnit, and utPLSQL.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred).
• Knowledge of secure coding and security testing tools (Fortify, ACAS, WebInspect).
• Familiarity with performance testing tools such as LoadRunner.
• Experience testing APIs, data migrations, and database-driven applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute unit, regression, security, and acceptance tests for user stories.
• Manage Requirements Traceability Matrix and write manual/automated test cases.
• Maintain documented testing tasks for each closed and deployed user story.
• Validate functionality against requirements including Zero Trust, RMF, and audit logging.
• Build, run, and maintain automated tests in GitLab pipelines with Selenium/JUnit/utPLSQL.
• Ensure automated testing gates (SAST/DAST/QA checks) before code promotion.
• Support integration testing during Strangler Pattern migration and incremental deployments.
• Perform release-level testing following the Release Test Strategy and IMS timelines.
• Perform security testing, static/dynamic scans, Zero Trust validation, and vulnerability assessments.
• Support Security Control Assessments (SCA/EDSCA), FISMA/FedRAMP testing requirements.
• Validate data mapping between legacy DRAS systems and DRASM database; test ETL migrations.
• Execute performance and load tests to ensure scalability.
