Job summary

Intertech, Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst/Engineer for a remote contract/contract-to-hire engagement with an established client offering e‑commerce and learning platforms. You will work with developers, analysts, PMs, and product owners to bake quality into every delivery stage.

The role supports test strategy, manual/exploratory testing, and automation; engineers drive test automation strategy, CI/CD integration, and coaching on quality practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software QA experience testing web applications (Analyst level); 5+ years for Engineer level.
• Hands-on with at least one test automation framework (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or WebdriverIO).
• Working knowledge of SQL for data validation (MS SQL Server preferred).
• Experience testing REST APIs with tools such as Postman or Swagger.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, regression strategy, and defect lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and design reviews to spot risks and gaps early.
• Build risk-based test plans and clear acceptance criteria for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects; report results and risks.
• Design, build, and maintain automated UI and API tests; integrate into CI/CD pipelines.
• Verify data accuracy and consistency across UI and backend, and validate integrations.
• Lead root-cause analysis on defects and mentor teammates on testing practices.
