Job summary

ECS Federal LLC is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join the Professional Services team. This remote role involves building and executing a comprehensive testing strategy across functional, integration, automation, performance, security, regression, and UAT.

You will validate complex web apps, APIs, data platforms, and third‑party integrations, using Selenium, Playwright, Python, Jira, Confluence, and Locust in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

Active Secret Clearance required.
Experience with UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
Strong SW QA background.
Ability to translate business requirements into effective test cases.
Experience identifying and documenting defects clearly and concisely.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Effective communication skills for cross‑team collaboration.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans covering functional, integration, end‑to‑end, performance, regression, and user acceptance testing.
Define test strategies, test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and release readiness metrics in collaboration with project stakeholders.
Design, develop, and execute automated test suites for web applications, APIs, and integrated workflows.
Perform end‑to‑end testing across frontend applications, APIs, Databricks environments, and third‑party platform integrations.
Validate integrations spanning web applications, backend services, data platforms, and external systems.
Execute functional testing across multiple user personas and business workflows.
Coordinate and facilitate multiple rounds of User Acceptance Testing (UAT), document findings, validate remediation efforts, and support final release approvals.
Design and execute performance and load testing using tools such as Locust, validating system behavior under concurrent user activity and identifying performance bottlenecks.
Perform regression testing to ensure software quality and system stability prior to production releases.
Validate role‑based access controls, security requirements, governance controls, and data access restrictions.
Identify, document, classify, and track software defects through resolution.
Collaborate with engineers, TPMs, product owners, and customer stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
Produce testing reports, quality metrics, defect summaries, and release recommendations.
Utilize Jira and Confluence to manage testing activities, document results, and track defects and remediation efforts.
