Job summary

Cardata is seeking a QA Architect to own quality strategy, automation, and CI enforcement across engineering. You will design test infrastructure, push automation-first practices, and embed quality gates in every SDLC stage. You will mentor teams and lead incident reviews to prevent defects.

The role focuses on end-to-end quality across web, APIs, and data layers with opportunities to improve test reliability and release readiness. Remote, Canada-wide.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software quality with senior QA strategy ownership.
• Experience as a QA Architect, Staff/Principal SDET, or similar roles.
• Proven track record building and scaling test automation frameworks.
• Experience with modern testing tools (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end quality strategy across web, APIs, and data layers.
• Build and scale automated testing frameworks across unit to regression tests.
• Embed automated quality gates into CI/CD pipelines.
• Define tooling and shared testing patterns for squads.
• Monitor quality metrics and drive improvements.
