Job summary

Advanced Solutions International is seeking a Principal Software Quality Assurance Engineer to lead quality strategy for enterprise applications in a remote United States role. You will define test automation, own high-risk specifications, and drive data integrity across APIs, UI, and data layers.

The role emphasizes architecture, mentorship, and shift-left practices, with deep experience in Playwright/Selenium/Cypress, API testing, SQL, and modern CI/CD tools.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience; advanced degree a plus.
• 10+ years in software quality assurance with 3+ years at principal/lead level.
• Experience with automated testing and building shared automation framework.

Responsibilities

• Set test and automation strategy across delivery streams.
• Own highest-risk, complex specifications from refinement through release.
• Establish testing patterns and quality gates to scale quality.
• Coordinate with Test Automation team to design coverage strategy.
• Write advanced SQL to validate data and integrations.
• Lead portfolio-level root-cause analysis and upstream prevention.
• Mentor senior and junior quality engineers.
• Promote shift-left testing with product, developers, and DevOps.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
