Job summary

7Seventy is hiring an experienced Python Technical Architect to lead technical product initiatives and shape the development of SaaS solutions. This fully remote role focuses on architecture, technical leadership, code quality, and delivery in cross-functional teams across the US.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in Python and Django, strong AWS knowledge, and a passion for scalable, secure software. You will mentor engineers, drive architectural decisions, and participate in hands-on

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a technical leadership role.
• 5+ years of hands-on Python experience.
• 5+ years with Django framework.
• Experience designing and developing SaaS products.
• Experience implementing decoupled architectures.
• Experience building, securing, and integrating high-performance APIs.
• Strong knowledge of AWS and cloud-based app development.
• Experience building microservices architectures using AWS.
• Solid understanding of architecture concepts and best practices.
• Ability to write scalable, maintainable, and testable code.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship or work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex requirements into scalable, maintainable software architectures.
• Design software solutions balancing technical requirements, timelines, and budget.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers on technical feasibility.
• Lead technical planning, architecture design, and implementation across product initiatives.
• Provide technical oversight through the product lifecycle from discovery to deployment.
• Hands-on development and feature implementation when needed.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce engineering best practices.
• Contribute technical expertise in client meetings and workshops.
• Define and enforce software quality standards and processes.
• Provide leadership on emerging technologies and development methodologies.
• Mentor team members and deliver internal trainings.
