Job summary

SherlockTalent is seeking a Software Engineer to build Flask-based APIs and data workflows in a fully remote setting for an Ed-Tech client. You will contribute Python services, transform data for analytical dashboards, and work closely with the BI team to deliver scalable, data-driven solutions.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of software development, strong Python and SQL, and experience with REST APIs, AWS, and containerization. Remote role with competitive compensation and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Professional software development experience (4+ years)
• Experience building Flask-based APIs and data pipelines
• Strong SQL skills and data manipulation
• Experience with AWS infrastructure and containerization (Docker)

Responsibilities

• Maintain and extend a Flask-based REST API for UI
• Maintain and extend Python ETL workflows in Airflow
• Optimize SQL and manage migrations for the BI team
• Query and manipulate data in Postgres
• Use Terraform to manage AWS infrastructure
• Collaborate with all teams to develop customer solutions
