Job Summary

Senior Python Engineer responsible for designing and implementing automation strategies to reduce operational costs of business. As a full-stack developer, you will contribute to building high-performance applications, mentor junior engineers, and drive technical excellence within an Agile team. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, expertise in Python, cloud technologies, and a deep understanding of modern software development practices.

Job Role And Responsibilities

• Design and implement automation strategies to reduce operational costs of business
• Build and maintain scalable, stable, and high-performing applications following best engineering practices.
• Collaborate with engineers to define high-level technical designs while adhering to architectural principles.
• Participate in Agile methodologies, ensuring best practices in coding, testing, and deployment automation.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, frameworks, and industry trends to drive innovation.
• Foster a high-performing, self-organized engineering team by mentoring and coaching junior developers.
• Identify technical challenges, propose solutions, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Required Job Requirements (Education, Experience, and Training)

• 5+ years of progressive software experience in Python (Flask, FastAPI, Django, etc). Courage to learn new programming languages and technologies, combined with strong analytical skills.
• Must have experience using Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, etc) for developer productivity, including code generation, debugging assistance, and documentation generation.
• Ability to design and document software architectures, system workflows, and service interactions using flowcharts, sequence diagrams, and other visualization techniques.
• TDD (Unit & Integration tests).
• SQL & NoSQL Databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc).
• Experience in utilizing Cloud services and best practices in deploying and maintaining applications in Cloud (Azure/AWS/OCI).
• Hands-on experience with Serverless Computing such as Azure Functions, AWS Lambda, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with OCR, data extraction, and ML/AI services such as Azure AI Document Intelligence, Amazon Textract, etc.
• CI/CD
• Containers, Docker.
• Experience guiding and mentoring junior developers.
• BS in Computer related field is preferred or equivalent work experience in software development.

Nice To Have

• Experience in automating business workflows.
• RPA (Robotic Process Automation) or Web Scraping.
• Extreme Programming (XP) experience including Pair Programming.
• API Gateways.
• Application security.
• HTML/CSS/Javascript.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is [$130K to $140K]. Specific offers take into account a candidate’s education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate’s work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.
