Job summary

CAI is seeking a Python/GenAI Developer to build and support Python-based backend services and AI solutions leveraging LLMs, RAG, FastAPI, and Google Cloud technologies. The role focuses on delivering secure, scalable AI-enabled applications while collaborating with business and technical stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4-7 years of software development experience with Python backend development.
• Minimum 1-2 years of practical experience with Generative AI and LLM-based apps including prompt engineering.
• Minimum 1-2 years of practical experience with RAG solutions including document ingestion and embeddings.
• Experience building REST APIs using Python frameworks (FastAPI/Flask).
• Hands-on with Google Cloud Platform services (Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, Vertex AI, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, IAM).
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD, and cloud deployment pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based backend services and APIs for AI-enabled applications.
• Build and integrate Generative AI workflows using LLMs and RAG pipelines.
• Develop FastAPI-based REST endpoints for file processing and pipeline execution.
• Implement retrieval workflows using GCP services (Vertex AI, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, etc.).
• Develop data-processing logic for structured/unstructured inputs and downstream persistence.
• Support testing, deployment, logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting across environments.
• Collaborate with architects, cloud infra, product owners and stakeholders to translate requirements into AI features.
