Job summary

CAI is seeking a Python/GenAI Developer to build and support enterprise AI applications leveraging Python-based backend services, Generative AI, and Google Cloud technologies. You will design and deploy secure, scalable AI-enabled solutions across the software development lifecycle.

The role focuses on backend API design, data processing, and cloud deployment using FastAPI, Docker, Vertex AI, Cloud Run, and BigQuery. This is a remote contract position offering flexibility.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of software development with Python backend focus.
• 1–2 years GenAI/LLM experience including prompt engineering.
• 1–2 years of practical experience with RAG/document processing and embeddings.
• Experience building REST APIs with FastAPI or Flask.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform services including Vertex AI, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Secret Manager.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based backend services and APIs for AI-enabled applications.
• Build and integrate Generative AI workflows using LLMs and RAG pipelines.
• Develop FastAPI-based REST endpoints for file processing and pipeline execution.
• Implement retrieval workflows using GCP services like Vertex AI, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Pub/Sub.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable AI features and backend components.
