Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Performance Engineer II to oversee day-to-day operations on active solar, storage, and substation projects. The role supports PV performance modeling, data analysis, and reporting, with options for fully remote or hybrid work in the US.

Responsibilities include coordinating with internal teams, onboarding projects, analyzing performance data, and leading engineers and analysts to optimize fleet performance. Strong PV modeling and programming skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline required.
• 4+ years' PV Performance Engineering, capacity testing and PV data analytics experience.
• Experience with PV modeling software (PVSyst, PlantPredict, SAM).
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and other Office tools.
• Programming experience in Python, VBA, MATLAB, Java or similar preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety is the top priority across field and office teams.
• Collaborate with internal teams to collect data for reports, tests, and analyses.
• On-board active projects into SOLV Energy’s Performance Team platforms.
• Track issues with the fleet and coordinate with internal teams to optimize performance.
• Troubleshoot performance data and correlate with workorder data for reporting.
• Lead and coordinate daily activities of Performance Engineers & Analysts.
• Maintain understanding of site design, equipment, and current project issues.
• Analyze energy losses and system performance due to outages or underperformance.
