Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Performance Engineer II to oversee day-to-day operations on active projects. The role can be fully remote or hybrid with in-office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR, with location specifics discussed during interviews.

Responsibilities include data collection and reporting, onboarding projects into internal platforms, and coordinating with engineers to optimize solar and storage fleet performance. A strong safety culture and cross-team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, science, or related technical discipline.
• 4+ years’ experience in PV Performance Engineering, Capacity Testing and PV data analytics.
• Experience with PV modeling software (PVSyst, PlantPredict, SAM).
• Proficiency in MS Excel and office tools.
• Ability to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Safety is the top priority on all projects and all site and office staff follow safe practices.
• Collaborate with internal teams to prepare reports, acceptance tests, and analytics deliverables.
• On-board active projects into SOLV Energy’s Performance Team platforms.
• Track issues with third parties and optimize fleet performance with internal teams.
• Run PV energy models and verify drawings and system layouts.
