Zillow Home Loans is seeking a purchase-focused Mortgage Loan Officer to originate home loans and guide borrowers from first contact through funding, delivering a best-in-class experience. Depending on strengths, you’ll operate in a high-volume digital environment or a relationship-based model, with support from Zillow’s brand and technology.

This remote role requires residency in Vermont, potential office time, and a strong track record of purchase loan origination.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mortgage origination experience with emphasis on purchase transactions.
• Completion of the 20-hour CORE Pre-Licensing Education and SAFE Mortgage Loan Originator Test – National Component.
• Physically located in and working remotely from Vermont.
• Proven success originating purchase loans in high-volume, phone-based sales or agent-centric referral models.
• Strong client service orientation with consultative sales skills and deep understanding of mortgage process.
• Comfortable in a structured, performance-driven environment with clear KPIs.
• Excellent verbal communication and quick trust-building.
• Strong time management, organization, and pipeline management skills.
• Proficiency with CRM, LOS, and Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Originate and manage purchase mortgage loans from application through closing.
• Convert opportunities into funded loans through proactive follow-up and borrower consultation.
• Build relationships with customers and Zillow Preferred Agents and local partners.
• Manage an active pipeline meeting service levels, productivity, and funding targets.
• Leverage Zillow’s CRM, LOS, and data-driven tools to manage pipeline health.
• Coordinate with processing, underwriting, and closing teams for efficient loan movement.
• Deliver high-quality customer experiences via phone, email, and text.
• Stay current on market trends, lending programs, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain licensing and pursue ongoing professional development.
