Job summary

Zillow Home Loans, part of Zillow Group, is seeking a purchase-focused Mortgage Loan Officer to originate home loans for customers within the Zillow ecosystem. You will guide borrowers from first contact through funding, in either a high-volume digital environment or a relationship-based model, supported by a scalable platform and strong brand.

The role is remote with restrictions, primarily based in Vermont, with optional office time.

Qualifications

• 3+ years mortgage origination experience with emphasis on purchase transactions.
• Completion of the 20-hour CORE Pre-Licensing Education and SAFE Mortgage Loan Originator Test – National Component with Uniform State Content.
• Physically located in and working remotely from Vermont.

Responsibilities

• Originate and manage purchase mortgage loans from application through closing.
• Convert opportunities into funded loans through proactive follow-up and borrower consultation.
• Build relationships with customers and Zillow Preferred Agents and local partners.
• Manage an active pipeline meeting service levels, productivity metrics, and funding expectations.
• Leverage Zillow’s CRM, LOS, and data-driven tools to manage pipeline health and customer engagement.
• Partner with processing, underwriting, and closing teams to move loans efficiently.
• Deliver a high-quality customer experience via phone, email, and text.
• Stay current on market trends, lending programs, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain active licensing and ongoing professional development.
