Job summary

DLH Corporation is seeking a Public Health Programmer Analyst Lead to support CDC data initiatives from a remote location in the United States. The role focuses on SAS and R-based data validation, governance, and analysis for HIV surveillance programs.

Occasional in-person meetings may be needed near Atlanta, Chicago, or Washington, DC for onboarding and security activities. The ideal candidate will have 8–10 years of experience with SAS and R, strong data management skills, and the ability to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public health, statistics, or related field.
• 8-10 years of experience with R or SAS.
• Demonstrated ability to work with multiple data sources to monitor data quality and completeness.
• Strong SAS experience; familiarity with R coding.

Responsibilities

• Develop SAS programs for validating surveillance, clinical, or research study data.
• Verify that variables are present and extraneous variables are excluded.
• Identify data discrepancies and inconsistencies in datasets.
• Develop codebooks and data management plans.
• Run duplicate procedures and compare results to ensure validity of final datasets.
• Conduct geospatial and molecular HIV analysis and interpret results using R.
• Collaborate with analysts to develop novel code for analyses.
• Support dissemination and reporting of data to internal and external partners.
• Work with federal partners to support funded jurisdictions or CBOs.
