Job summary

Sagent Behavioral Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to provide high-quality patient care for Psychiatry patients. You will work with Psychiatry providers, handle calls regarding medication side effects, refill requests, and insurance verifications, with little to no direct patient contact.

The position is remote in Iowa with a 1.0 FTE schedule, Monday–Friday hours, and salary between $21.00 and $24.00 per hour. Eligible for benefits including 401k and disability insurance.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Medical Assisting in State of IA.
• Comfortable with little to no physical patient contact on a day-to-day basis.
• Experience with mental health care preferred; Knowledgeable about psychotropic medications.
• Computer and tech-savvy; experience with Electronic Medical Records.

Responsibilities

• Triaging calls from patients.
• Taking calls for lab results.
• Triages incoming lab results, medical reports, refill requests, etc. to MD/APRN/PAs in a timely fashion.
• Maintains legible and organized patient records.
