Job summary

Covenant Family Solutions in Iowa seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to provide direct care to medication management clients and nursing task support for Nurse Practitioners. The role is available remote, on-site, or hybrid within Iowa, and involves multidisciplinary teamwork.

You will handle medication lines, coordinate with providers and pharmacies, support PMP activities, and manage EHR documentation. Travel to clinics is possible (5%).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in a relevant field.
• Certified Medical Assistant required.
• Experience in behavioral health is preferred.
• Proficient with EHR systems and patient documentation.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Answer medication management line and route calls to the right dept while gathering caller information.
• Take medication concerns and share with the client's provider, following recommendations.
• Process medication refill requests and coordinate with providers and pharmacies.
• Communicate with pharmacies regarding prescriptions for clients.
• Collaborate with referral sources to obtain necessary information under NP guidance.
• Provide client with community resource information.
• Support PMP observation with the provider.
• Assist with prior authorization processes and external paperwork as requested.
• Assist with GeneSight testing and on-site vitals if applicable.
• Maintain accurate EHR records, including discharge information and lab uploads.
• Attend clinical and operational meetings and support communication across teams.
• Travel to clinics as needed (approx. 5%).
