Job summary

ABB is seeking a Technical Consulting Manager II for a full remote position in the United States, with a preference for candidates in Northern California. You will lead protection & control engineering activities across utility, industrial, and commercial substations, coordinating design, documentation, and project execution while liaising with customers and teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred), 5+ years of relevant experience, ability to read

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Electrical Engineering required; Masters preferred.
• 5+ years in protection & control projects for utility customers.
• PE License in California required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support engineering design activities for new and retrofit protection & control/automation systems.
• Develop engineering documentation and analyses: schematics, logic diagrams, layouts, BOMs, reports and calculations.
• Manage project materials, design packages and technical issue resolution with ongoing communication to project teams and customers.
• Ensure adherence to safety practices, standards and requirements while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
