Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant work experience will also be considered.
• Prior property claims handling experience preferred.
• Knowledge of property insurance coverage, claim investigation practices, damage assessment, and settlement procedures.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain applicable state adjuster licenses and continuing education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned caseload of property claims from initial investigation through resolution.
• Investigate and evaluate property losses, determine coverage, assess damages, and negotiate settlements.
• Communicate with policyholders, claimants, agents, and other involved parties to provide updates and explain the process.
• Maintain accurate claim reserves and document activities.
• Identify salvage, subrogation, and other cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate with independent adjusters, contractors, and outside experts as needed.
• Collaborate with internal teams to share claim information and support operations.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and company policies.
