Job summary

Hastings Insurance seeks an experienced Property Claim Representative to support policyholders across Southern and Eastern Wisconsin. You will investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve property claims while maintaining professional service to policyholders and agency partners.

You will manage a caseload from initial investigation through resolution, determine coverage, assess damages, and negotiate settlements in accordance with policy and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of property claims handling experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent education and experience considered.
• Strong understanding of property insurance coverage and settlement procedures.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and claim management systems.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve property claims.
• Manage an assigned caseload from investigation to resolution.
• Communicate updates to policyholders, claimants, and agents.
• Establish and maintain accurate reserves and document claim activities.
• Identify salvage, subrogation, and other cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate with adjusters, contractors, and outside experts as needed.
• Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations and company procedures.
