Job summary

Hastings Insurance is seeking a experienced Property Claim Representative to join our Claims team, supporting policyholders throughout Southern and Eastern Wisconsin. You will investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve property claims while delivering responsive, professional service to our policyholders and agency partners.

We value strong property claims knowledge, sound judgment, and effective communication to achieve fair and timely claim resolutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in property claims investigations, evaluation, and resolution.
• Strong understanding of property insurance coverage and settlement procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, with customer service focus.
• Ability to manage an active caseload and prioritize effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned caseload of property claims from start to resolution.
• Investigate and evaluate property losses, determine coverage, assess damages, and negotiate settlements.
• Communicate with policyholders, claimants, agents, and other parties to provide updates and facilitate resolutions.
• Maintain accurate reserves and thoroughly document claim activity and decisions.
• Identify salvage, subrogation, and opportunities to minimize costs.
• Coordinate with independent adjusters, contractors, and experts as needed.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
