Job summary

Travelers is seeking a remote-based Claim Rep for Outside Property in the Fairfield, CT area. You will manage, inspect, and settle 1st party property claims with in-person site visits as needed, while maintaining professionalism and service quality.

The role requires a property claim background, active adjuster license where applicable, and strong skills in claims management systems and MS Office. Travel to various locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of property or comparable claim related experience or successful completion of required Travelers Claim Representative training program.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Review, investigate, and document 1st party property claims under limited supervision.
• Gather information from policyholders, claimants, and third-party vendors.
• Investigate and evaluate all relevant facts and information; determine and apply coverage for property damages.
• Establish accurate scope of damages for building and contents losses and use as basis for estimates.
• Provide timely and professional communication to customers, representatives, third-party vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Negotiate with multiple constituents, i.e., contractors or insured’s representatives with guidance.
• Maintain accurate records of claim activity in claim management systems.
• Adapt to new technology implementations, system upgrades, and digital tool rollouts, particularly in the areas of AI while maintaining productivity and service quality.
• Acquire and maintain relevant Insurance License(s) and/or a UAS Remote Pilot Certification to comply with federal, state, and Travelers requirements within three months of starting the job.
• Assess and inspect all areas of a dwelling or structure, including roofs, attics, crawl spaces, and other confined areas. Ability to carry, set up, and climb ladders weighing approximately 38-49 pounds.
• May require extensive travel, including overnight stays, to support customers across multiple locations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
