Job summary

State Farm is seeking a Property Field Inspection Claims Specialist to conduct on-site inspections and evaluate damages for residential and commercial claims. You will work from home with a mobile office/vehicle within Riverside County, CA, servicing defined zip codes and potentially traveling to adjacent territories.

You will meet with insureds, explain coverage, estimate damages, and guide claimants through the process while delivering remarkable service.

• Ability to interpret detailed policies and apply them to real-world situations.
• Quick to learn unfamiliar concepts, processes, and terminology and apply knowledge.
• Effective interaction with policyholders, agents, and stakeholders to move claims forward.

• Detail-oriented with organizational and analytical skills.
• Proficient with mobile/desktop tools to document field and remote claims.
• Must have valid driver’s license; driving is an essential function.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections and assessments for residential and commercial claims.
• Collaborate with policyholders, agents, and other parties to gather information and resolve claims.
• Interact with parties with strong emotions or concerns during inspections or resolutions.
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the claims process.
• Gather evidence, document findings, and prepare detailed reports.
• Investigate and adjust property claims with exposures up to $500,000.
• Evaluate coverage and terms for claim validity and regulatory compliance.
• Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits per policy terms.
