Job summary

Sedgwick in Nevada is seeking a General Adjuster to handle regional losses up to $10M with unassisted scope and remote work options. You will examine claim forms, estimate repairs, negotiate settlements, and coordinate with carriers and legal when needed.

A Bachelor's degree is preferred; the IIA-AIC designation and an active adjuster license are required or pursued. Five years of related experience, strong written and spoken communication, PC literacy, and solid organizational skills are

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; IIA-AIC designation pursued; state adjuster license required.
• Five years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong written and oral communication, PC literacy, and customer service skills.
• Attention to detail, time management, and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Examines claim forms to determine insurance coverage.
• Administers and reconciles complex property claims.
• Interviews claimants and witnesses by phone or correspondence.
• Inspects property damage and reviews police/hospital records as needed.
• Estimates cost of repair or compensation and negotiates settlements.
• Revises case reserves and prepares loss experience reports.
