Job summary

Erie Insurance seeks capable Property Adjusters at Trainee (F08), I (F09), or II (F10) levels. Program starts after a thorough selection process, with a 15-week training in Erie, PA, and ongoing field experiences within the assigned territory.

Selected candidates will gain hands-on claims handling experience, including investigations, estimates, and negotiations, with travel to sites and potential catastrophe duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred for certain levels.
• Property Adjuster II requires five years of claims handling experience or equivalent; cross-qualification via degree possible.
• Bachelor’s Degree may be required for higher levels.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations, interviews, and inspect damages; drive to damage sites within the assigned territory.
• Set reserves, review reports, direct experts, and negotiate claims with attorneys when needed.
• Document claim files and prepare closure reports; manage subrogation when applicable.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior adjusters; participate in catastrophe duty when required.
