Job summary

Erie Insurance is seeking a Property Adjuster Trainee/I/II to manage property claims across the assigned territory with a clear career path. The role includes a 15-week hands-on training program at ERIE's Technical Learning Center in Erie, PA, and field experience under mentors and supervisors.

Responsibilities include investigating claims, estimating losses, setting reserves, and coordinating with agents and attorneys.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred for advancement.
• High School Diploma or GED and two years of claims handling experience, or equivalent; or bachelor's degree.
• High School Diploma or GED and five years of claims handling experience, or bachelor's degree with experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations, interviews, and inspect damage; prepare estimates.
• Set reserves, review reports, determine coverage, negotiate with plaintiffs’ attorneys.
• Document claim files and submit closure reports.
• Identify subrogation opportunities and initiate action.
• Serve the assigned territory and bring claims to conclusion.
• Interact with Agents and district sales managers on mutual matters.
• Assist claims supervisor or represent the company in proceedings.
• Complete industry training and participate in catastrophe duties.
