Job summary

JLL is seeking a Senior Associate I in our Property Accounting team to deliver accurate financial reporting for a portfolio of commercial properties. You will prepare statements, coordinate audits, and manage on-site accounting procedures while collaborating with property management teams locally and across the organization.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of accounting experience in real estate, expertise with MRI or Yardi, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, with real estate accounting experience.
• Experience with real estate accounting software (MRI or Yardi).
• Strong Excel skills for data analysis, modeling and reporting.
• Ability to multitask and meet client deadlines under pressure.
• Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and journal entries for a portfolio of properties.
• Coordinate accounts payable processes and verify approvals.
• Serve as primary accounting resource for on-site property teams and respond to inquiries.
• Oversee cash management, loan servicing, disbursement processing and external reporting.
• Support audit processes and assist with annual budget preparation.
• Execute year-end reconciliations and ensure accurate billing per lease requirements.
