Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Project Controls Scheduler to develop and maintain integrated EPC schedules for a portfolio of PV solar projects. This fully remote role requires travel to regional jobsites to lead scheduling efforts and coordinate with engineering, procurement, and field teams.

The candidate will use P6 to build schedules, perform quantity take-offs, update progress twice monthly, and conduct what-if analyses to support on-time, profitable project delivery.

Qualifications

• Engineering, Construction Management, or Architectural degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 3 years project engineering or related experience.
• Experience scheduling for construction projects (HV, Substations, or electrical features) preferred.
• Experience in an EPC environment is highly desired.
• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
• Experience using P6 software required.
• Knowledge of construction methods and CPM scheduling.
• Intermediate MS Office skills.
• Excellent English communication; professional writing and telephone manner.
• Willingness to travel to jobsites.

Responsibilities

• Use P6 software to develop and maintain EPC project schedules.
• Assist in planning the project by analyzing documents, drawings, contracts to form the EPC schedule.
• Perform basic quantity take-offs to establish activity durations and maintain supporting files.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, PM and field management for feedback.
• Collect stakeholder input to improve schedule buy-in and accuracy.
• Ensure logic and realistic durations using CPM best practices.
• Attend project meetings to understand issues and updates.
• Update schedule at least twice a month and track deviations from critical path.
• Communicate updates and maintain reports in Teams and SharePoint.
• Maintain delay log and document weather delays against NOAA data.
• Conduct what-if analyses, change orders and claims.
• Train field personnel in scheduling procedures and assist senior staff.
• Visit jobsites regularly to support scheduling efforts.
• Prepare as-built schedules reflecting actual conditions.
• Maintain SOLV P6 database with correct activity codes and comments.
• Support reporting while maintaining core schedule structure.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the senior scheduler.
