Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Project Manager, Fossil Fuel Power Generation (Natural Gas) for a 1-year contract (W-2), with location listed as Remote. You will lead early-stage project management for new natural gas-fired projects and report to the onsite Manager.

You will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery, manage contracts, and oversee engineering aspects using MS Project or Primavera.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with focus on fossil fuel power generation or related field.
• 8 years in natural gas-fired power generation or related field design and project management.
• Experience in contract negotiation.
• Engineering background to oversee engineering aspects of projects.
• Proficient with Microsoft Project or Primavera scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate daily management of projects to ensure completion and cost-effective results.
• Use and rigorous thinking to determine highest priority actions and promote projects forward.
• Be a liaison between internal and external specialists regarding procurement, contracting, permitting and interconnection.
• Help construct contractual arrangements for the project, must be hands-on and willing to write contract documents, both commercial and technical.
• Negotiate agreements with equipment suppliers, technical consultants and contractors.
