Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company, via WECTEC Staffing Services, seeks a Fossil Project Manager for a remote, 1-year contract. You will oversee gas project development activities from due diligence to construction readiness, report to the onsite Manager, and coordinate across E&C teams.

Required: 8+ years in energy project development or large capital construction, EPC/EPCM experience, and proficiency with MS Project or Primavera. Competitive pay and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in energy project development or large capital construction.
• Experience in EPC/EPCM project delivery, cost estimating, schedule development, and project risk management for gas generation projects.
• Experience with major equipment and EPC/EPCM contract procurement including bid preparation, evaluation, negotiation and award.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Project or Primavera project management and scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Lead E&C's participation in gas project technology and commercial due diligence, evaluate commitments, constructability, site integration, and interconnection requirements.
• Coordinate with E&C SMEs to evaluate balance-of-plant and interconnection requirements including switchyard, transmission, gas and water supply, wastewater and air emissions compliance.
• Lead E&C participation in Technology Review, capital estimate and project schedule development, and Preliminary Engineering phases across active gas development projects.
• Coordinate E&C Subject Matter Expert resources to support gas project site configuration reviews and risk assessments.
• Lead E&C's participation in negotiating commercial offtake agreements, permitting sites, and interconnecting processes, identifying construction-phase dependencies.
• Partner with Integrated Supply Chain on procurement support activities - RFQ input, scope review, and bid evaluation for major gas project equipment and EPC/EPCM scopes.
• Lead schedule development, cost benchmarking, cashflow modeling, and risk-adjusted cost positioning to support project sanction decisions.
