Job summary

Avalon Healthcare Solutions is seeking a Project Manager to lead multiple complex, cross-functional projects from initiation to delivery, primarily implementing Laboratory Benefit Management solutions with health plan clients. This client-facing, remote role requires strong communication, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking to drive execution and governance across teams.

The Project Manager will coordinate Data Integration, Clinical Policy, Testing, Training, and Prior Authorization

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required or 10+ years of directly applicable work experience in lieu of degree.
Minimum 3 years of project management/business operations experience.
Experience in health plan, managed care, or benefits management industry preferred.
Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to lead in a matrixed organization and influence without direct authority.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage multiple complex projects end-to-end across cross-functional teams.
Develop and tailor project plans, RAID logs, charters, and governance artifacts.
Create clear status reports and presentations for executives and clients.
Coordinate data integration, clinical policy, testing, training, and utilization management workstreams.
Identify risks, implement mitigations, and drive issue resolution.
Serve as SME for Avalon’s programs and contribute to process improvements.
