Job summary

The Center for the Advanced Study of Teaching and Learning (CASTL) within the UVA School of Education and Human Development seeks a qualified Project Management Professional 1. The incumbent will join a vibrant team conducting research on teacher learning in pre-service and professional development settings, with focus on elementary mathematics teaching.

Responsibilities span data analysis, project coordination, and communication with schools and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; preferred fields include Psychology, Economics, Sociology, Education or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant experience required; 4+ years may qualify for Level 2; additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Data-related work: analyze student work and assessment data to monitor progress and inform targeted instructional support.
• Data-related work: use diagnostic assessment data to identify skill gaps and design individualized intervention plans.
• Data-related work: audit training/curriculum modules for accuracy before platform migration.
• Project coordination: track, facilitate, and coordinate project and partnership work including on-site visits.
• Project coordination: draft project protocols, agendas, and schedules.
• Project coordination: keep research records organized and confidential.
• Project coordination: review budgets, estimate costs, project expenses.
• Project coordination: support platform migration of training materials.
• Communication: collaborate with instructional/curriculum, faculty mentors, and post-doctoral trainees.
• Communication: generate reports for schools and outside partner audiences.
• Communication: gather materials and prepare annual and final reports to funder including budget justifications.
