Job summary

Parkway Construction & Architecture is seeking a Project Manager 1 to lead construction projects from inception to completion. Based in our Lewisville, TX office, with possible remote consideration, you will own project outcomes, coordinate with clients and subs, and ensure quality, safety, and on-time delivery.

The role emphasizes detailed budgeting, schedule adherence, and proactive communication with stakeholders. Strong collaboration with the Operations Business Unit is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction project management.
• Ability to review constructability of plans and specifications.
• Ability to create and enforce construction schedules with daily tracking and monthly look-aheads.
• Experience building and maintaining client relationships and managing subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and verifying constructability of the plans and specifications.
• Creating and enforcing a construction schedule that is tracked and updated daily, with a constant monthly look ahead to ensure timely completion of the project.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships. Ensure customer satisfaction through regular updates and prompt resolution of issues.
• Initial project estimates, bidding, and qualifying subcontractors.
• Preparing scopes of work and recommending subcontractors to be selected for contracting on the construction of the project.
• Sending out invitations to bid and managing the bidding process.
• Negotiating scopes of work and final contract amounts. Preparing, estimating, and verifying change order requests.
• Responding to RFI's or submittals and responding to subcontractor or consultants project related questions.
• Directing and managing each of the Superintendents and Project Engineers to maintain the performance of subcontractors and consultants on-site.
• Implementation of strict construction safety practices.
• Verify compliance with the plans and specifications, hosting weekly and monthly jobsite meetings, as well as managing and conducting other duties necessary for the successful completion of the projects.
• Review monthly subcontractor invoices.
• Attend monthly budget draw meetings and cost to complete.
