Job summary

The Emmes Company, LLC is seeking a Project Leader to ensure successful delivery of client statements of work within budget on clinical research projects. You will manage cross-functional teams, mentor staff, and collaborate with Business Development to generate new opportunities.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in pharma/CRO, with strong trial management, leadership, and communication skills, and a track record of delivering complex studies on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher degree in a scientific field with 8+ years in pharma/CRO.
• Experience managing late-stage clinical trials preferred.
• Proven track record delivering complex trials on time, with quality and cost controls.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work independently and cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for technical, scientific, fiscal oversight of research projects and coordination with other Emmes verticals.
• Proactively assess client expectations and address needs for ongoing studies and new opportunities.
• Review, input on, and approve project and study documents and processes as needed.
• Represent the project or company at client meetings and scientific conferences.
• Influence project decisions using therapeutic and trial design expertise within budget and contracts.
• Mitigate risk and communicate contingencies with clients; approve budgets and SOWs.
• Liaise with corporate services to ensure adequate staff resources for the project.
